The Knelson Mercury Recovery Concentrator (KC-MR) is designed to simultaneously recover mercury and gold or other precious metals. The KC-MR has been proven to recover 98% of
elemental metallic mercury, whether it is naturally occurring, present as a by-product of a previous mining operation or has occurred as the result of other industrial processes.
During operation the KC-MR continually discharges mercury into an accumulator tank for temporary storage. The mercury can then be safely removed from the tank for further treatment.
The KC-MR can be supplied in either a manual control system or with a Knelson Independent Control System (KICS) to enable complete automation.
